1. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the App and provide the services you request:

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number, and the credentials used to sign in.
  • Warranty and inspection data — warranty policy references, site addresses, inspection appointments, technical audit items, and related project information linked to your account.
  • Uploaded content — documents, photos and notes you upload from your device (camera, gallery, or file picker) to support your case.
  • Device and log data — device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, crash logs and diagnostic events, used to keep the App secure and reliable.
  • Support communications — messages you send to us via the in-app support form or email.

The App does not collect precise location, contacts, SMS, call logs, microphone audio, or health data.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
  • To deliver the core services of the App, including managing structural warranty policies, scheduling and modifying inspections, uploading supporting documentation, and communicating with your warranty provider.
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Legal basis for processing

We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR and EU GDPR: performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required (for example when accessing your camera or files, which is prompted at the time of use).

4. Third parties who process data on our behalf

We use the following sub-processors to run the App. Each is bound by written data-processing terms:

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.) — stores warranty and inspection records and related records.
  • Supabase (Supabase Inc.) — application backend, authentication and secure file storage.
  • Google Play Services (Google LLC) — app distribution and crash reporting.
  • Email delivery providers — used to send transactional emails such as sign-in links and support replies.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with advertisers. We share information only: (a) with the sub-processors listed above, (b) with the professional partner or organisation associated with your case where required to deliver the service, (c) where required by law or valid legal process, or (d) with your explicit consent.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations. You may request deletion at any time using the contact details below.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS). Access to backend systems is restricted, authenticated, and audited. Uploaded files are stored in access-controlled storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect information consistent with industry standards.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email admin@lditech.co.uk. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Children

The App is intended for adults using it in a professional or homeowner capacity. It is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. International transfers

Some of our sub-processors may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated in the App or by email.
